When was the last time you got a full night of sleep in your own bed?

It's a high likelihood that you are reading this page, watching our webinars and videos, late at night because your A-Kid (our term for those on the spectrum) has difficulty going to sleep. Or it may be 2-3 in the morning and they just woke up and can't get back to sleep (even though your body craves a couple more hours of rest). Either way, maintaining a normal sleep routine is difficult for many on the Autism Spectrum.
Sometimes if you catch it early enough or lay down next to them for an hour they may calm down and go back to sleep. But that's just temporary. If you move or try to go to your own bed they will wake up and are off to the races.
You ask other parents on tips and tricks, but you tend to get the advice that "it's a stage" or "turn on a night light".
Both of which doesn't help!
You ask your pediatrician or therapists on any advice, but they tend to suggest that your child be medicated with Melatonin or Prozac. Which either doesn't work or turns them into a walking Zombie.
Each night that they don't get a good consistent sleep, you find they are more reactive, have more meltdowns, less compliant at school or in therapies, or the stimming gets out of control!
So like many others, you turn to Google & YouTube to find an answer, any answer that can help you and your child get some more rest.
The Reasons...
Over the years, we have found that there are a couple causes for this trouble with sleeping. Some of it can be diet based (eating too late, not a balanced diet, or food allergy); others may be due to over reliance on electronic stimulation late in the day (iPads, TV, or Tablets); or no consistent pre-bedtime routine.
Once you've eliminated the usual suspects, they may get to bed easier as long as your in the room or in the bed with them. They will still tend to take a while to get to sleep. But as soon as you move, they will wake back up. Or they will wake up in the middle of the night and find you gone which ramps them up. So how do you get to sleep in your own bed?
A Potential Solution
This is one area that a Service Dog can really make the difference. The deep pressure therapy of the dog leaning up against the child or resting their head on the child's chest coupled with the rhythmic breathing and heartbeat typically will help the child calm down and go to sleep faster. The dog also is there when the child suddenly wakes up in the middle of the night and because the dog is there, they find they are no longer alone and in most cases go back to sleep.
In many cases this allows the service dog to replace you in child's bed thus allowing you and your child to get more restful and consistent sleep.

Service Dog Training Is A Complex Process That Only Can Be Done By Professional Dog Trainers
After training hundreds of service dogs over the past 23 years, teaching a Service Dog to assist with a disability can be a complex, labor intensive, and difficult process without the proper training and tools. But we aren't training a Service Dog just for anyone.
We are training it specifically for YOUR child.
This allows us to focus the training of the dog into manageable steps customize to your child's needs. We then break down each step into lessons that can be done in 45 to 60 minute a day.
With our online training coupled with a Plan of Action, you too can achieve the same results that would typically take an experienced dog trainer hundreds of hours to do.
Myth 2
A Service Dog can cost a lot of money and it takes years to get one.
If you are looking to get a Fully Trained Service Dog customized to your needs and then individually coached through the entire process is nice, but it can cost over $30,000 and with some organizations take 2 to 3 years to get.
That doesn't have to be the case.
In many cases, if you already have a decently behaved dog that is under 7 years of age, you can get started on the training today within minutes of purchasing the course.
